Welcome to CIHU Corner
CIHU, standing for “Can I Help You,” originates as an acronym embodying a spirit of compassion and assistance.
Originating from the personal and professional ethos of my grandparents, TJ and Anita Anderson, this mantra was lived out in their community roles as public educators. Witnessing their commitment to creative problem-solving for community members left a lasting impact still honored and remembered 60 years later.
What truly stands out is how contagious CIHU was as the community embraced it as their own ethos. People felt acknowledged and valued, leading them to live CIHU in their unique ways. CIHU as a principle recognizes that no single person possesses all the answers to complex problems, yet collectively, through empathy and collaboration, innovative strategies can be forged. At its core, CIHU reflects the idea that caring is indeed contagious, spreading a culture of support and community well-being.
The CIHU Corner blog serves as a platform to share valuable professional and personal lessons.
Its primary aim is to offer insights and reflections that resonate with readers, aiming to evoke smiles, stir memories, and inspire personal growth. It seeks to create a space where readers can find encouragement, motivation, supportive strategies, and perhaps even a sense of camaraderie as they navigate their own journeys of self-improvement and fulfillment. My hope is that through the stories and tidbits shared, readers are propelled towards becoming their best selves.
